Our role is to ensure that clients have the most appropriate investment managers to meet their needs. Without being compromised or conflicted, we are able to advise on the most suitable investment managers for your requirements.
Careful consideration
A selection process costs time and money and our first task is to assess whether it is the right step for our clients. We bear in mind that a client's relationship with their managers should be judged from a long- term perspective and that any short-term downturn must be viewed in the broader context.
Selection process
We decide with our clients the type of manager or managers that are most appropriate for their requirements. This may include balanced managers, multi-managers, fund of hedge funds, a range of specialist managers or passive management.
We then guide clients through long-listing and short-listing stages. This includes co-ordinating the submission of detailed proposals from short-listed managers and summarising these, highlighting key differences between the candidates. We then handle all the practical arrangements for beauty parades and attend the presentations to assist with questioning.
Fee negotiation
We negotiate fee arrangements on behalf of our clients and are often successful in reducing investment managers' fees.
